Introducing the new GS Series iPod Stands

Inspired by a Guitar Stand
I both play and fnish electric guitars and one day as I looked at one of my guitars sitting in its stand I thought, “I should make a stand like that for iPods.” Thus was born the new GS series.
We had several goals in mind when we designed the GS series:
Fits all Full-Size iPods
Who likes to buy virtually the same accessories they already have just to accomodate a slightly different size? The GS stands function with all full-size iPods made to date (Note: they do not work with the Mini, Shuffle or Nano iPods).
Works with or without a Case
We've designed the GS stands so that they work with or without a case! Check out the photos at left. You'll see my 3G iPod in an iSkin case, complete with belt clip.
While we can't check the fit with every case available, this should work with the vast majority. (In the rare instance that it didn't work with your case, we would gladly give you a refund).
Lacquered Hardwood Base
We start with a piece of select hardwood, then cut it to the desired shape. Then using a proceedure very similar to finishing one of my custom electric guitars, I lacquer each base.
Sturdy Steel Bracket
The bracket that holds the iPod is made of 3/16" round steel. I hand-bend each piece then braze them together in a jig that holds them in alignment. Then they're painted with a tough enamel paint and the ends are tipped with PVC rubber to protect your iPod.
And just like my guitar stand, it has a tether that loops around the top of the iPod to secure its position in the stand.
Works with your Sync Cord
The iPod is positioned in the GS stand such that your standard sync cable can be used, making the stand a quasi-dock. Now, for many, there's no need to buy a Dock! For the same price you get a much classier stand.
A Variety of Styles
We currently have four different styles in the GS series - two round bases, one in glossy white lacquer and one in glossy black lacquer. We also have glossy sunburst lacquer guitar base (looks similar to a Fender Strat) and a glossy black lacquer Grand Piano.
